Going by the list we're pretty spread out for the most part. Might be an idea just to stick with England/Scotland/Northern Ireland/Wales for starters, perhaps splitting England into North and South. If there's members that are part of larger groups they can always give you specific cities or counties later.

IRM is in accord with my thinking. I actually ran it past my wife who was an art teacher and she agrees. no need to complicate things too much.

I can see why the Col would like to break the US down by states, but unless we go for counties, which I believes over complicates matters, I would go for North and South England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, unless someone thinks we need to identify NI and Eire separately? We are a British Flight. If that doesn't give anyone any grief, do we really need any divisions? I have my doubts as to the benefits.

Yes, I have to start with the largest denominator countries first.

I see the "world playership" as the top most level (RFC for example) then counties (wings), states (squadrons), and finally cities/gaming groups (flights).

As you guys are pointing out, there may not be a need to divide Great Britain up right now, but I want to have the system in place in case it needs to be done later on... and I already need that system for at least the US.

I think we should clearly separate Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland (Eire) as Southern Ireland isn't part of the UK. After spending 12 years serving in N Ireland before I became a teacher I think that most N Ireland players would prefer their own identity as a country in its own rights.

My old gaming group are in Ballymena (N Ireland) and I recently infected some of them with the WofW bug, and one of those (Chubb) is also registered here - I'll chase him up to see if I can get him to give his opinion as he tends to be more of a 'lurker' in forums rather than a poster.

Sorry if its too late or threadmancy but I feel you really do need to seperate NI from Eire, we are two different entitities and even have two different football teams. We even sent different teams to the ETC (a massive warhammer tourney for those who don't know)

Edit: as I seem to be the only NI player in the flight I wouldnt mind bunking up with someone else for the time being though

Deviding England up into smaller chunks is the sensible idea.

Hi Col.
I'm back from sunny Scotland. I did give the Regions on my List to you, and suggest that we follow those. i.e. Scotland./ North of England. The Home Counties/Midlands/East Anglia. The South of England/South West.and finally. Wales including Northern Ireland. This gives our four Squadron Leaders, and up to eight Flight Leaders according to what the Squadron leaders decide they need.
