Flying Officer Kyte (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/member.php?236-Flying-Officer-Kyte) - 10-28-2010, 20:09

After some work, I am now in a position to publish a current list of all the members of the various British flights and the commanding officers. I hope this will help you to help me. Squadron Leaders please check your flights, and add the postings made by each member, and when they were last active I am trying to find out who are worth sending a P.M. to get them to join the British user group and become wingmen to me and also their Squadron Leaders and flight Leaders.
If you think they are worth chasing up please feel free to do it. A little contact may bring them back into the fold. If they do not respond and have not posted for a year I will write them off. This will give us an idea about what the flights really look like.
Rob.
THIS LIST IS NOW ON VIEW IN THE REPORT FOR DUTY FORUM.

Thanks very much for taking the time and effort to compile this list. Hadn't realized from the player map there were quite so many of us in the Southwest :D

You can't rely on the player map, Schwerpunkt. When I went to check my position on the map to help make the leaders' jobs easier, Google map had moved me from England to Germany and I couldn't find a way to reposition my self or delete my entry in order to set it up again. Since then it has moved me to Slovakia! The Col is aware of similar occurences and is looking for a workable alternative.:(

It is a pleasure to serve. If you check the latest update, I have now clarified the situation. The members in green are not currently active and may be lost in action. I have sent a P.M. to every one of them and so far these have failed to respond. This should give a clearer picture of what the membership actually is in your area. Hope this helps.

Hi Rob,
Biff McGuffin (Phil) is still active playing WoW in Cardiff and just got elected as a committee member and vice chair of Cardiff Wargames Club (Viet Taff) www.cardiff-wargames.org (http://www.cardiff-wargames.org/).
I know from his PM's that he is flat out at work which is why he may not have responded to your pm.
Cheers Aled

Thanks for the info Aled. It is useful to find out what is going on, especially with new members. I am trying to be pro active and contact them at least three times in the first two weeks. We have found in other societys that I am in, that if you establish a raport early enough they tend to stay. Most of the ones who don't post at all are probably not that interested anyway. Some who have not posted for nearly a year are probably lost in action by this time.

Thanks Chris. At least we are starting to get an idea of the real state of the membership.
