Does any one in the UK stock aircraft bases, stands and gimbals. I know Litko in the states make them.

Thanks

Litko bases are available from figures in Comfort. Look at their Webpage there is a tab for Litko. Dont know about the gimbals though

Cheers Boney, silly question, but are the bases priced individually or are they for the quantity illustrated?

Thanks again

Good call Chris. I've been dealing with Fic. for years and never noticed that they did Litco. Just ordered a few Christmas goodies from them on the strength of that.:)

Wish I could take the credit, but I only found out this past week from Filton Flyer at our Wednesday games night.
Needles they sell a batch of 10 fighter bases or 5 2 seaters which come with 2" pegs for around £10.
Dont think they do individual ones.
However they do work with Skytrex, I have mounted a Sopwith Triplane & Roland & RE8 on their bases.
How do you want to mount the models? aka WoW models or direct onto the Flying pegs?

Hi Boney, thx, happy to read they are priced per batch. Not too sure yet but the Skytrex look very tempting and Litko sell a universal mount. Lots to think about.

for my Skytrex I have drilled a hole in bottom of fuselage then glued in a piece of Styro Rod then I cut this to a pprox 1CM and it fits into Litko WoW Flight Stands, however for this you need the stands & the WoW compatable toppers too. They give the stand a bit more stability holding the model.
I have used these for a few Skytrex models and they work ok, the bases are a bit of a bind to put the pegs in and a complete sod to take out. I found I had to re-drill slightly the bases holes, but once in were ok. I will try and post a picture for you. At moment cant find my cable to xfer my pics to machine.
I sent away to the states for mine, so if you wanted individual ones they may do it that way

Cheers Boney, look forward to seeing the shots.

No I'll be buying in packs - going to call first thing.

My WoW WWI Deluxe arrives in from Shires next week so can get gaming pretty soon.

Thanks

Another option is to use rare earth magnets. www.magnetexpert.co.uk (http://www.magnetexpert.co.uk/) do flat disc magnets which work pretty well, the 5mm x 1mm ones I use can even hold my metal AEG bomber.
