Here are some of the 100+ pics from Vapnartak 2020:

Well it's 0730, where are the lads? Am I at the right place (Wrong time)?

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281507&stc=1

New banner, not bad for 5 days notice. From my FLCS.

A bit dark but the complete set up.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281509&stc=1

The new WINGCO trying to spot the punters........sadly missing at this point.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281510&stc=1

Battlestar Galactica setup, Raiders on the left, civilian transport (FTL down) hides behind the large moon defended by 2 Vipers.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281511&stc=1

Raiders jump in and move through the small asteroid field, both Vipers split (not the original plan) and head off in different directions.
(I am piloting the Viper at the bottom, Kinetic Energy = 6, overboost card played and heading straight at the small asteroid!)

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281512&stc=1
(Back to my Viper and that asteroid........forget wings.....it's card to card for the 2nd card.....yahoo.....turn track 90 left does not impact with asteroid, neither does base....dakka, dakka, dakka take that toaster, or not because I missed! Raider and myself at K6, medium range 8+ to hit nahnah.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281514&stc=1

Tim takes a hit, ouch 6+ followed by another 6. (Laser pen adding to the battle)

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281513&stc=1

Meanwhile my wingman was taking on that deadly Cylon Raider Tincan-Tim, dakka, dakka.....boom! (Tim took with his previous first hit a 6+ and drew a second 6, the kill shot was a 5 exit Tim)

After carefully skirting another 3 asteroids, at K6 I might add....with 13 damage and no possibility of flipping round for that I'm going this way but firing that way move, I closed in on the 2 remaining Raiders.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281515&stc=1

(Tim has now taken control of the lower raider as the player had to leave) My wingman closes in, can we save the transport?

(One for Steve,,,Guntruck)

Now that's how you fly close to an asteroid.....

Back to the action.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281517&stc=1

Both raiders narrowly miss colliding as I close in at K6.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281518&stc=1

Take that TinCan2 Tim. The transport takes damage. "Where is my wingman?"

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281519&stc=1

I close, my wingman arrives, TinCan2 Tim flips round and......boom. I'm toast.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281520&stc=1

My wingman closes in but it's 2:1 odds surely he can't?

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281521&stc=1

Damage mounts up on the transport, it's big and can soak up more damage than the Vipers but how much more?

My wingman hit TinCan2 Tim twice before he got sandwiched (Do Cylons eat sandwiches.....mine for lunch were especially good but I digress)

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281522&stc=1

I guess Adama won't be sending a rescue Raptor for us?

Game 2: (Not as many pics as I wasn't involved as Marcus, Angus, Duncan and Harry fought it out between them)

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281523&stc=1

Initial moves as the Raider FTL in.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281524&stc=1

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281524&stc=1

Target rich for Viper B (Harry)

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281525&stc=1

Viper A (Duncan) and Viper B (Harry) even the score for the Colonial Fleet 2:2.

https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=281526&stc=1

And not so shortly after,(These 4 players stayed with us from about 1.30pm to 3.45pm to finish off a great game), the 2nd Cylon Raider is dust.

Apologies that I only took a few pictures from game 2.

It was Strangely Quiet without 'Strangely Brown' - clearly, he was the main draw in past years..................hope all is OK with him.

Neil arrived before we others had planned to - we weren't hiding from him!

I love Neil's great new Banner - I want one!

It was a fun but tiring day; I re-read the rules the night before, whilst in my hotel room, but was confident that Neil could lead us with his 3 - 4 games experience.
Imagine my surprise when he informed me he had never played!

Owing to our inexperience, and the need to coach the punters (none of whom had played before) we proceeded much more slowly than I had envisioned; thus we didn't get to try out the new Heavy Raiders, Raptors and Viper Mk.VIIs as I had hoped. :(

Nonetheless, I now feel much more confident with the flow of game play, and I look forward to presenting the game again in the future.

It was great to see Neil again, and thanks to Chris and Reg for holding the WW1 fort (which I only visited once all day!).

Cheers, chaps!

Thank you for the great pictures and accounts, Neil and Tim! The laser pointer looks very appropriate in a space battle.

Apologies for not stating earlier, without Tim this would not have happened. His collection of models and memorabilia is fantastic. He gave me a 10 minute rules intro then into the fray, basically what the punters got too. Also straight into the full rules package which everyone picked up faster than I thought.

So special thanks to Tim for making this possible.
