Sludge marker needed

I guess you can tell who has nothing better to do with their lives but .... We need sort of a little black pond with the image of a melting plane in the middle as a marker for planes killed by the black smoke cloud I reckon. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

Speaking of markers, some grey translucent smoke markers would be nice. The only option at the moment is to download from the Ares site, print and laminate.

Hm, maybe 3D print some in translucent filament??

There are Black Cloud markers in the 'Additional Counter Sets'.

An Anchor, Chain & Ball weapon marker might be useful.

Here is my trial print of a black smoke cloud. Now that I’m happy with the dimensions and shape (took a couple of trial prints to get there) I’m printing one in black:

My original idea was to print in translucent PLA and then airbrush it in shades of black and grey but that seemed like too much trouble for what is, essentially, a marker that shows a danger area on a mat. I might do just one for AAR photos.

This is all in preparation for our next Tuesday night Martian melee.

I’m happy to put the stl file up on Thingiverse if anyone is interested.
