Help with JG26 needed.

I am currently converting some of my ME 109 Es to JG 26. I have Galland but wondered what symbols an letters were on the other aircraft in his Rote. Can anyone help with this please.

Rob, do you have the names of his Rote mates? I have found a lot of emblems used by JG26.

JG 26 Luftwaffe Fighter Wing War Diary: 1939-42 (by Donald Caldwell) has Bruno Hegenauer flying as Galland's rotenflieger in 1941... as does artist Robert Taylor in his "Most Memorable Day" painting. From Virginia Bader's Fine Arts Page:

Adolf Galland and his wingman Bruno Hegenauer break through the fighter escort of No. 303 Squadron's Spitfires to attack Blenheim bombers of No. 21 Squadron over northern France, 21 June 1941. In two missions that day Galland claimed two Blenheims and one Spitfire, survived a forced crash-landing, and later a parachute escape from his blazing Me109. That evening he learned he was to become the first recipient of the Knights Cross with oak leaves and swords - Germany's highest award for heroism.

Walter Horten (of the Horten Brothers, who designed the world's first jet-powered flying wing, the Horten Ho 229, as well as other revolutionary designs) apparently shot down 7 aircraft while "secretly" flying Galland's wing during the Battle of Britain.

Osprey's Bf 109D/E Aces 1939-41 (by John Weal) has Robert Menge (highest scoring ace of the Norwegian campaign and a Knight's Cross recipient) flying Galland's wing, but not until December 1940, and for only a limited time.

Wikipedia (and a Galland interview, so I suppose I should believe Wiki) has Gustav Rödel flying as Galland's rotenflieger with JG27... possibly not helpful, now that I think about it.

My reference for doing redecalling of Bf.109s, and for Stab./JG 26: www.asisbiz.com - Bf-109E - JG26-Stab (https://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Bf-109E/JG26-Stab.html)

Basically, as the 'Wing Commander', I took the liberty of assuming Galland could fly with anyone in the entire unit as his wingman. So, if the body of the plane was marked correctly, you could put any staffel markings on your plane, and it would be probable.

As an example, I just removed the front chevron from one copy of a Galland Bf.109 and called it Walter Horton's: OldGuy59's WWII Axis Fighters Album - Hptm Walter Horten (https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/album.php?albumid=2985&attachmentid=124480)
