To honour the legacy of Manfred von Richthofen, Ace of the Great War.

You are probably waiting for the first infromations about the Prague Campaign on centenary of the last flight of Red Baron.
The original idea is follow the path of two giants of the Air - MvR and James McCudden throught the years of the Great War.

Rules:

Campaign wil be for 24 players in total.
When you joint the campaign, you should play all missions. If you are not there, your side is weekened.
Two tables: one von Richhofen's and the second McCudden's, one for the final battle.
Sides and tables are chosen randomly, excepted special rule (see below).
Six Brits and six Germans around each table.
No table or side changing.
There will be three ace skill trees: Outstanding Pilot, Flying Engineer and Warrior of the Sky.
When you choose one, you must follow your ace path skill by sklil.
Skill are earned by victory points, these are kept by GM.


Criterias for joining:
Send me:

Your full name.
Portrait photo (at least 400×600px, vintage style would be the best).
Chosen skill tree.

What I should do for choosing even the side?

Promise to bring (and really bring!) a repainted Camel, SE.5a, Dr.I or S-S D.III.
Your repainted plane will determine your side.

Presumably your real name and not a made-up one for the purposes of the campaign?

Does the colour scheme have to be authentic?

We want to have a special personalised card for each player. But If you have a strong Alter Ego (like Kyte, for example), it should be OK.

I do not think it must be. It is up to you - we want to have the final battle interesting. From my perspective: Andrzej's yellow-blue Dr.I would be fine, pink SE.5a with violet stars probably not. But we trust our players ;)

I have a Fokker Dr.I repaint for him.

Can I use the Original Manfred von Richthofen Fokker Dr.I for the champaign?

Not shure about Markus at the moment.

Dan I do not have any Aeres REPAiNTS so the question is "must it be a repaint or can I bring an unaltered Aeres plane"?

Sorry that I was not clear.
It is limited to Camel, Se5, Fokker Dr.I and S-S D.III.
But the origin of the model is not limited.
Not only Ares repaints, but also Valom, Shapeways, Skytrex and other manufacturers are in play.

OK you had better count me out then. Although I would have thought that any aircraft in service before MVR's death would have been acceptable otherwise I would have used my Valom D VII. It's a long way to come not to get a game!

Camel, Se5 and Fokker Dr.I are understandable choices, but a S-S D.III is surprising !
Would not a Albatros D.Va be more reasonable ?

Reg, have a repaint is an option, not creterium. If you won't it, you just join on of sides randomly. That's all. You even do not need any mini ;)

Also, I'll GM one WW2 mission. Is it compatible? Probably I'm not the only one with this in mind.

Asja will play campaign, too. She'll bring Dr.I

P.S. You put me in trouble... I would like to fly for CP, but I can fly my favourite SE.5a if I choose Allies...

One is OK and mastering of another mission is a perfect reason why miss a game. Welcome!

I wouldn't know - I don't spend a lot of time shooting down my own repaints!

- Albatros D.II ( for Hawker game )
- Albatros D.III ( for Nivelle game )
