I have taken a tutoring job to offset the travel costs to get my butt over to the mainland to join in the fun of BottosCon, once again.

This year, there will be other players hosting Wings of Glory and Sails of Glory games, and as space is limited, I won't have room to double book. However, there will be table space for a few games of something, so I will be presenting the Tripods & Triplanes proto-type game.

Anyone from Vancouver going to BottosCon? I may need to borrow a Coast mat for the Tripods game. I have six mats, now, but no duplicates. The Nexus East and West mats, and each of the original Ares mats (Country, City, and Coast), with the new Ares No-man's Land mat.

Trying to contain the swarm of Tripods to a piece of the table with this configuration:

The scenario, to allow as many to play as possible may have up to six Tripods, and up to six pilots (respawning a plane each). I'll try a play-test of this in October, but I forsee Martians coordinating heat-ray blasts over a wide arc, and frying lots of planes in one go. Might be too dangerous...
