View Full Version : DrVIII movement decks
Gents,
I am pondering the new additions to the Staffel. 3 new DrVIII's. It seems there are no handy decks available. I thought about Dr VII's deck, but since the VIIIs are rotary powered it would not be appropriate. Does anyone have a notion what deck would be best and any notion on how tough the plane may be?
Dreams of reenacting "Blue Max" scenes are dancing in my head, along with the occasional "Enemy Ace" action sequence.

Yes...good find there!
Thanks for the info, I will test it out and report.
Another instance of "I forgot"; any ideas on climb rate?
I can't find any references to a Dr.VIII. Are we talking about the Fokker D.VIII?
Yep, I suspect my numbering/naming nomenclature may be incorrect. I see references for DrVIII and DVIII. For clarification; I refer to the German late war, rotary powered, parasol winged, Fokker fighter. Sorry

The DVIII (or EV) is the rotary-powered ultra-late war Fokker built parasol monoplane that barely entered service before the Armistice.
The V.29 is the parasol-monoplane derivative of the DVII that was chosen to replace the DVII as the backbone of the Jastas but was overtaken by events.
The DVIII was supposed to have great climb (hence a 2 ?) but I don't know what stats the V.29 would have had (should anyone be hacking about a spare DVII model).
