Hello there,

the North African Front has piqued my interest lately and now I'm wondering which models (Ares only) to use to fly some sorties over the desert sands? As I realized quickly there aren't much: the Bf.110 C-7 (Radusch), Beaufighter Mk.IF (Herrick), and maybe the B-25C Mitchell (Bauer). Do I miss any?

Thanks!

Great thing about this theatre of war is that there are plenty of minis still available. Almost nobody wanted Italian planes and if I remember well, there are only two minis with desert camo (Me.110 and Spitfire Mk.IX). If you count with Gladiators and Bf.109E (almost necessary) you have good numbers :)

Wow, perfect! Got to order some new minis, I'm afraid.

About two years ago, we were surprised how well this could work. Here in Prague, we usually play BoB, Pacific or Eastern Front (Kubajs) but nobody was interested in Mediterranean Campaign. One player from another part of the Czech Republic started later than us (may be Cartas?) and bought planes from this era and suddenly this idea started to make sense! We were almost blind - Mediterranean Campaign was very well supported from Nexus and even from Area.
Go for it! :)

Argh, I'm sorry. Is it possible to relocate the thread?

Is it possible to emulate a FW 190 A-4/5/6 with Ares' FW 190 D-9 statswise? I'm not an expert on this topic, but they seem similar enough to me on a game mat.

If you are into modeling, Clipper has a how-to for converting Dorsa into Alphas/Fredrichs.
