View Full Version : What's your favorite Allied Giant?
I haven't played much but if I had to choose I'd go with the Caproni Ca.3. I'd love to hear your opinions.

The Caproni Ca.3 was in service well before the others and was also used by the French. It is easier to fit into a wider range of historical based scenerios.

Handley Page, just because I have one to fly. It is also late enough not to influence me when using the small two seaters for bombing raids. I feel that if it were earlier it would get used in preference to these. i'm not sure but I have a hunch it would.

Felixstowe! Gotta love those snazzy colour schemes ;)
Bloody Paralyser all the way baby.... Nothing to do with Skytrex conveniently releasing one, oh no, not at all....
Hadley Page for me, based on the design and the fact I've seen some nice models for it.
The Felixstowe F.2A / Curtiss H.16 got my vote. I know it wasn't used until late in the war, but that flying boat sure is pretty.

I like the Caproni Ca.3...3 engines with one in rear...pretty unusual.
For me , I prefer mini's, nothing against cards mind, voted for Handley Page as it the only one with a mini available, as far as I know
Ummmm...... isn't the Friedrichshafen GIII a German plane?? I remember that the Belgiums' flew a captured one, but I don't think 1 plane would count.

It is a pity we can't include the Short but it has no official card.

The Ca3 has 4 official minis. The O/400 will have one "real soon now" - next year if we're lucky - but there are a number available from other manufacturers. Similarly the F2A and my personal favourite, the Ca4.

I like the Caproni Ca.4 because of "Clipper's" model I won during a mission contest.
This one combines so much elements of aviation pioneer work in my opinion.
(I still hope for a Handley Page 0/400 Kickstarter project )

No need for Kickstarter, as far as I know. HP O/400 and Zeppelin Staaken should arrive anyway.

Since I bought the "Fligth of the Giants" card game I wanted to command an original Nexus/Ares Games Staaken model.
I love the Felixstowe but if pressed an HP would do nicely too.
Plan to get a Felix from Shapeways at some point, and the Ares HP whenever it comes out.

Just ordered a pair of HPs from Shapeways, before the price-hike.
All the rest of the order is ready to ship, but these two are not produced yet - starting to get worried!

I like the Caproni 3 as has been said, it is early enough to get used a lot.

HA! All my stuff (50+ planes & 3 hangar frames) is now finished and en route! Really looking forward to the HPs!
Didn't bother with a ZS - I can wait for the Ares one.
