View Full Version : Special manoeuvres - Immelmann, Split-S and Overdive

My partner often needs to double check the rules for the three special manoeuvres detailed in the RAP, and for that matter, I also sometimes feel the need to check exact details - so for a while we had a scribbled sheet with the requirements and effects of the special manoeuvres at hand for ease of reference.

A bit of work in Photoshop and I've worked up a neater and clearer visual aide memoire to use as a reference sheet, and also incorporated the errata from the FAQ relating to these manoeuvres as well as the various effects and restrictions.

Before I post it in the files section, comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

The real version is sized for printing as an A4 sheet; this WIP image is as large as the forum will accept.

The finalised file has been approved and is available for download here (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2134).

It does seem handy to have this sort of cheat sheet.

Looks very handy until it becomes second nature.

I'd like to have such a beastie on our Participation Game table at shows, for edification of the punters (and not for me, no, not at all, who suggested that..........?)

This is already available on one of the games aides already in the files.
However that version shows the sequence in a smaller scale, ?i like the look of this one.
When will it be put in the files Alex, as Flying Helmut has said, this would be a good aide for our shows.

I saw that version Chris. However it doesn't include the extra details that I've added to this one, and the section for the overdive is incorrect (I checked to see if perhaps the rule had changed between WoW and WoG, but seems not).

The finished version (slightly amended from the one above) is currently in the moderation queue.

That's a great idea Alex. Stealing. before my games, some of the players take notes to remind them what the maneuvers need - taking a damage and flying straight during a rodeo can be awfully painful (for WGS).

Chris, if you need them before the moderation gets them on the site, drop me a PM with an email address and I'll send it to you direct.

That's a great idea Alex. Stealing.

Hardly stealing when I've put it up on the site to download for free, but you've given us all an interesting insight...!

Glad you like the idea.
