Yesterday a great group of forumites fromn the Italian section organized two large scenarios at Play 2015 - the largest all-games convention in Italy. They choosed to call themselves for this occasion "Quelli del Forum di Aerodrome".
The Battle of Istrana gathered 20 planes to re-create the facts of Christmas 1917 on the Italian front. Here the photogallery:

Hunt for Yamamoto proposed the ambush to the famed Admiral on April 18th, 1943. Here the photogallery:

A report, in Italian, here:

Ares Games gave some miniatures to play, some to be given as gift in a lottery to people taking part and they printed a large mat on purpose for the Istrana scenario.

Thanks a lot for what "Quelli del Forum di Aerodrome" did for the game - and for the Aerodrome's fame too!

The first mat (the Istrana map) was printed by Ares for the Play! event, the second one was printed by Mad Charly, based on real Bouganville area.

If you want to download the Yamamoto's full scenario, with all copies of cards of involved planes, this is the link to files section:
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2113

As soon as possible I'll charge also the map.

The Istrana's scenario actually is on check in section files and it'll be charged in section scenario of WWI scenario section.
The map, that gratefully was done by Ares, was made joined toghether 3 Ares countriside map and 1 Ares city map.

Great show indeed, Andrea, but where did you source the P-38s and Betties?;)

I made P38 using Furuta choco eggs lightning (1:185 scale) and Bettys using two model power G4M (1:187 scale).
