Finland 1939 was played at The Williamsburg Muster 2015. Friday Evening February 6th.

Based around the air actions of the Winter War this game saw Soviet I -15`s and I-16`s against Finish Gladiators and Buffalo's.

Setup The Finns were defending an airfield placed in the middle of the map. The attackers could start two firing sticks from airfield. The defenders where they wished behind the airfield.

Forces; Finnish Defenders: Three Gladiators and three Buffalo's.
Russian Attackers: One SB-2 , Two I-15`s and four I-16`s.

The action started fast a head on pass at the bomber and Finns discovered it had a 20mm firing forward. It took made them think twice about another one. The SB-2managed to approach and bomb the target while the fighters were busy. The target airfield to 80% damage and the bomber decided to head for home. The nimble biplanes made for fun targets. As the bomber retreated the Finns started losing planes Gladiators all went down and the Buffalo's were being shot up. In the end the Russians ruled the skies. The Russians were given the Victory. A clean sweep of both games we played!

This was a fun game with a lot action. It too us a little over two hours to play. All the players had played in at least one WW2 game, planning and movement went quick!

I want to thank BobP for his Buffalo's between us we field several now. I want to thank the Players for the fun game!
