Hi All,

I have been playing WoG for around 2 years or so, with a couple of devoted gamers here in the ACT.
I don't get off the ground as much as I would like, and am hoping to get some more games in in the near future.
Let me know if your keen, and I will be attending CANCON on Sunday so I will drop past the table!

Regards

On behalf of the Squadrons based here in the U.K. welcome to the Drome Daniel.
I'm sure you will find a lot to interest you here, even if the beer in the Officers' mess can be a bit warm at times.
Rob.

Don't mock the afflicted Tim, just throw G&T over me.

When I was in the American Army, we kept our beer in our wall lockers.
Fifty years later, I still prefer room temperature beer.

I'll be glad to see you this weekend. Are there any particular aircraft you like to fly - or fly against?

With the restricted space available, I can't take my complete collection - only a hundred or so.

While it would be good to have at least one January 1915 game, the problem is that not many players would find it fun flying Central Powers unarmed aircraft vs prowling gunbuses and voisins, or even unarmed BE2cs and the like.

So I might stick to the classic 1918 period. Your thoughts?

Hope you had fun at CANCON, Daniel - or will have fun (if it's this Sunday coming up). I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun making your way around all of the wonderful things here on the forum. It's a great place, full of great folks...

All the best,
Matt

Hi Zoe,
I am a fan of anything from late 1916 onwards, so Sopwith Triplanes and Albatros DIIIs.
But having said that I am a fan of the Camel and the Fokker D.VII, with a weakness for the SPADs as well!

To all of you who have welcomed me from all over the world, I thank you very much. It would be great to fly with and against all of you, but alas, I am not a millionaire philanthropist!

Thanks again everybody.

Regards

Daniel

Sounds like a good basis for addiction to me.:minis::minis::minis:

The problem I find myself with, is that as I joined WoG too late and missed out if aircraft such as the Pfalz, D.III and Nieuports.
I have scrounged a few SE 5a's and a Roland Two seater. And a balloon, however the book is all in French, which I unfortunately don't understand.

Oh well, will have to wait
For the reprints!

OK, I'll make sure there are a few N17s, Tripehounds, Pups, D.IIs, D.IIIs... and I'll paint up an Albatros C.V too.

Just finishing off some French additions - a Spad VII or two with rockets, Caudron R.11, Letord II, Spad 12 with the 37mm, Salmson, etc.

Hi Daniel - a belated welcome to the 'drome from here in the UK (too much time spent at the bar with Kyte :drinks::drinks::FOK::singin: - I've lost several days that way recently and missed your arrival)
