Haven't played a biggy for almost two years so...
A 23 Entente v 21 Central Powers bash commenced last Monday and was conclude this morning (Saturday)

Here is the battle being joined:
151993

A close up of the action:
151994
The pink Panther strikes with the first BOOM of the match.

151995
think Sven must've been piloting this one ! BOOM-BOOM

151996
Ready for Turn 3 - I think ?!

151997
Nice example of a chain of shots that came about

The management boards early in the game:
151998

151999
The planes on it have been shot down.

Me getting my ass handed to me - again !
152000
The resulting fire did me in.

The RFC came out on top in the end with 10 fliers still on the table when the last Hun left, although a number of these were heading for home themselves.

A whole lot more pics (took 195) in my Album (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/album.php?albumid=3189) which is still under construction.

I found the process far less stressful than last time as I had determined at the beginning that I'd play it throughout the week when I had the opportunity to get to the table, so it became an interesting diversion. Loads of mistakes were made, I'm sure, but it was just bloody good fun.
Even More madness may follow soon....!!

Just made it with four A decks, two B decks & a C deck too Rob, recycling as the 'planes went down had to be done though.

That's amazing! Each turn must take an age to complete. Nice work!!!

Incredible Dave. Well done. Take the afternoon off to clear the table and have a drink. How long did it take you to play?

Thanks all - I played 11/2 - 2 hours stints once or twice a day as the mood grabbed me for six days, I usually got through a turn and set up the next per session, as they planes fell the quicker it got ! :)

Great game! Is that a Sopwith Dolphin I see in there? Professional looking finish - looks like an official model.

Yes it is Kev - one I got from Shapeways. Have a look in the painting showcase here (http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/showthread.php?11358-Official-Sopwith-Dolphin-painting-thread), this one is featured in the first post but there are quite a few others now. :)
