Those look very sharp. I am almost sold on the idea of using the clear discs as spinning propellers.

I was not too sure about them at first myself but they are growing on me and far less vulnerable than the fixed props.
The backdrop is starting to get a bit tatty in the corners I'm afraid. It will soon be time for an overhaul on that.

I am afraid that will have to wait for the time line to catch up Nigel, and then for someone to include a Bombing raid by the Allies in their Brief. The Wellingtons did not arrive on Malta until Autumn 40.

Sorry John, I missed this.
The windows are left white undercoat whilst I paint the rest of the aircraft. Then I paint a very watered ice blue in.When dry a water wash of gunmetal which runs into the corners. After this drys, decide where the dome of your glass will be and at its most protuberant point just add a dot of gunmetal light or silver. This does not need to be a dot, it can be a line on flatter surfaces.
The fact that for the most part the washes are uneven in density helps to give that see through look with internal shadows. You are really trying to obtain a translucent look.
Finally I paint the window frames in whatever the surrounding camo dictates.
