Was on E-Bay and there a number of B-17's there. Price range is $13.00 up to $48.00. The lower prices are die cast planes ( I have one) and the higher ones are F-toys. I would thing the die cast would be more but they are a better price.

Some 4 years ago or there abouts, I scored three of the F-Toys specials, the Memphis Belles, for about $3-$4 USD each. All three wound up costing me like $22 or something close to that, shipping and all. Some seller had a lot of 10 of them he must have been trying to unload, what a bargain!

Of the USAAF 'heavies', the F-Toys B17Gs are something of a rarity, which is why they command such high asking prices. The CafeReo 'Big Bird' B17Fs and B24H/Js are somewhat more common, although I'm having no luck currently trying to track down one of each at the moment to finish off a couple of projects.:(

I have been fortunate to play in a few games with Richard S who has both B-17's and B-24's. Have a great time playing the games with these planes.

Hmm, now that you mention it, I'm not sure if my B-17Fs are F-Toys, or Cafe Reo? They are Memphis Belles.

I also have a trio of B-17Gs, which could also be Cafe Reo. Either way, all of them are pretty sweet.

The pre painted B-17`s i have are made by F-Toys and Cafe Reo. I also have one of the AmerCom B-17f.

I am trying to find a B24 plane card for a 1/144th Shapeways plane that I've had painted. Any help is appreciated!

Steve

Check in the files section. Max has a B-24 in his WW2 bombers section.

Thanks, you are right. I missed it when I checked earlier.

I sent Max a note, asking if he has a 'clean' B24 plane card. I only saw the crew allocation one. Thanks.

Well, if you were to believe what I'd said, they're obviously CafeReo, as F-Toys only released a G, in its Heavy Bomber Collection WORKSHOP series VOl.13, released 2/6/2008, along with the Mitsubishi G4M1 Type 1 Model 11 BETTY and Avro Lancaster B.I/III. The CafeReo Fs ('The Mustang', 'The Shamrock Special' and 'Memphis Belle') were in MAS Big Bird Collection 3 along with the Mitsubishi Ki-21 Type 97 SALLY and Dornier Do217.

Cafe Reo...F-Toys...to be honest; it really doesn't make a difference one way or the other with me. I'm only interested in good looking models to play WoG with. If it's a good looking model, the company that makes it is irrelevant to me.

So I'll be calling Cafe Reo planes F-Toys; and vice versa from here to eternity I suppose.:smack:
