View Full Version : Blighty wound.!

Well chaps, I never suspected that when I signed off a few hours ago to go for an eye check that by the time I got back I would have undergone laser eye surgery for a torn retina. I am typing this in a kind of fog, and have to go back tomorrow for a smaller repair to be completed, Luckily the Dr. says it wont stop me going on holiday on Friday. Now the good news as ear as you all are concerned is that I wont be able to post much for a day or two, as this is proving a bit of a struggle. my Blighty wound is, therefore, effective from now, and I will catch up with you all when I get back from leave. That's me with my shades on.:D:D:D
Kyte. Out.

Guntruck
08-04-2010, 13:55
That's a bit rough Rob. Hope everything goes OK. I too am typing this in a fog, but that might be because I have just returned from the Great British Beer Festival :D

At least it gives the rest of us chaps the chance to catch up with the number of posts. Have a good hols.

Rob--A similar thing happened to my wife. Not quite as traumatic but she went in for a routine eye exam and now has to have a lens transplant--no warning. Even if they take care of business it reminds you how fragile our "sighting equipment" is. Best of luck and take care.

Actually I think that was an error due to my poor eyesight. I think he actually said vasoline, now I come to think about it. Anyone going out on patrol who can use up 500 Gals. of gasoline surplus to requirements? :o

All,

I did a little confusion and I deleted it and I didn't submit it correctly again.

The message to Kyte was:

"As you know I have some problem with vision to one eye too.

We can find a pirates boardgames and play it with a patch over an eye at the Officer's Club :p"

The day we get chilled beer in the bar is the day I pack up flying and become a conscientious objector. Everone knows decent beer must be served above room temperature in an old jam jar, contain at least one rat per gallon and be strong enough to power a Sopwith Camel.

No hard feelings!:D As you say the Republic lives, and a plague on Charles Stuart, one time King of England, that man of blood. Just the same as "The South will rise again" really, and just about as likely, with the great esteem that the English Parliament is held in at the present.
