In the old Dawn Patrol game there were rules for landing damaged planes that could no longer fight. They were a bit involved but it was fun to have that sort of second chance to save a beloved pilot (we track pilots and missions etc).

Has anyone experimented with that in WoG? If the plane explodes that is different but reaching a damage limitation could (should?) be treated differently and the pilot should have a chance to glide down and land which adds another fun aspect to the game: pilot captures and prisoner exchanges!

You might find the solo rules for OTT helpful: http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/showthread.php?13711-Final-Months-Campaign-Rules

There is one post on the thread that has links to a bunch of other helps - all of it is well worth the time looking through.

Lance - have a search through the House Rules section - gliding has been discussed & I'm sure that Zoe has some house rules for just what you're after.

Zoe? I checked the House rules section and I am not seeing it. Can you be more specific? Thanks.

Thanks for the links, Dave. I'd missed the discussion of gliding.
