You all are awesome... Thank you...

I will nudge my brother up in Charlotte NC and have him respond to your comments and Questions...

I know he will be excited to see his pictures on the big screen and hear what all of you have to say about them...

It will be nice to know my brother's aerodrome name also, once he logs on that is...

Thank you again for the comments

XXL Mega WoG gaming.

Most impressive, Chris!

The setting and equipment looks very professional. I counted 21 Jap planes.

Did you use an extra table for the maneuver decks, or a kind of formation flight for the dive bombers?

Thanks for posting the pix Chris... This is Chris' bro Joe. Thanks for all the comments. There were 41 total aircraft flying. Played for 13 hours straight. 6 pilots. Japanese sunk the Yorktown and badly damaged the North Carolina. If we could have played on, the B-25s only lost one in their formation as the P-40s held off the zeros well. The formation was about to finish off the Mogomi and her 8 inchers. The Hei would have also been lost. Giving the day to the Americans. But the Japanese were up when we finally called it quits at 4:30 am. Awesome playing on such a big board. Not one plane hit the edge. Can't wait to unleash the ME 110s in North Africa in the coming months. Stay tuned for more battle action.

Oh ya.... We played each plane individually. Cards bordered the table. We use color dots to differentiate the planes. Worked well.

Excellent!
And me thinking that one of my solo games with 6 planes on my side and 10 on the AI player is a gigantic battle... :brickwal: :deadhorse: :dazed:

My bother Joe (Lord of Girth) is planning a match called cut throat; pure dogfighting.
He will let each pilot fly 2 aircraft of their choice without consideration to team or country affiliation.
It will be a game of last man in the air. Although not a campaign or historical re-enactment, it will allow each pilot a chance to fight other pilots flying the same aircraft potentially (i.e. you could have Wildcat vs. Wildcat, or Me 109 vs Zero, or 109 vs 109.

Joaquim, I am with you on solo games... I like how you talked about being part of the Solo players club... That is definitely me.

My brother Joe is naturally good at this game. He likes to fly an Me 109 as Hartman (over 300 kills in WWII), and Joe racks up an equivalent kill count of his own. He blasted my spitfire wingman (also me ) out of the air during our battle of Britain campaign while I was lining up to make a run on a German 111H.

I only get to fly against my brother Joe once or twice a year so I am practicing up with solo matches using my P-40s against what will be Hartman's/Joe's new Focke-Wulf 190 D.
The P40Fs are definitely out flown and gunned by the Focke Wulfs, but I like the challenge.

Although I like the big battles, there was some conversation on the limited turns as it takes time to move all those planes. So, Chris mentioned our next venture will be just 2 planes per pilot. More stake in the game. If you and your wing man get taken out, you're done for the night. I love it either way - big or small. North Africa should be another big one involving the USA, Brits, Germans, Italians and the French.

Good background informations.

This was a indeed milestone in Wog WGS gaming.

I think only Richard's 1/144 WW II battles can compare with such a huge game.

:eek::eek: Good lord! Just played this past Saturday and was pleased as punch to have gathered 14 players to field 14 planes... It was good times, but pales in comparison to the 41 you dropped on us...
:salute:
I salute you, sir!
