I have started a parallel solo campaign, beginning in May of 1940 and centered on the wartime experiences of a "Canadian" in RAF service, Sgt-Pilot C.G. Raymond. The initial two (prologue) posts can be found here:

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/entry.php?247-The-Kindness-of-Strangers-WW2-Campaign-Prologue-1-(A-New-Day)

http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/entry.php?248-The-Kindness-of-Strangers-WW2-Campaign-Prologue-2-(Letters-Home)

This is my first solo campaign so, with equal measures of excitement and trepidation, we'll see where this story takes me. I hope those interested enough to take a look enjoy the developing story. Please feel free to ask questions or make suggestions, should any occur, as I am interested in feedback and wish to, how shall we say, improve "my game." Thank you.

I am hopeful that the first mission/AAR will be complete within the next couple of days.

Had a look and like it very much Chris.
I'm only surprised no one else has posted here since you opened the thread two weeks ago.

Thank you, both, for your words of encouragement! :thankyou:

Agreed. :) The next chapter is on it's way... scheduling has proven a little problematic, but I've got it straightened out now. Should be a day, or two at the outside, before I get it posted.

The next installment of our parallel campaign is up: Hunters Hunted

You can find it here: http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/entry.php?269-The-Kindness-of-Strangers-%96-Chapter-6-%96-Hunters-Hunted

I must, however, apologize... the pictures are disturbingly blurry. :( Far below the quality that I normally see, or post, here. :embarrass: Either I broke my camera, or I did something to them when re-sizing the pictures. Either way, they're pretty awful... but hopefully won't detract too much from the AAR.

An enthralling episode Chris. I love your narrative style. The dog fight was a cliff hanger from start to finish.
Well done that man.

Thanks, Rob. :)

I learned a few very important lessons flying this one:

Me 110s are nasty customers. A dangerous combination of speed and frontal firepower. It's bad to have one on your tail.
Heavy bombers have a lot of guns. It's best to chip away at the periphery, rather than engaging a formation. Can't wait to see the pain dealt out by a B-17G.
Back-to-back "steep" maneuvers are bad... especially when they break your aircraft. Try explaining that one to your C.O.

Sgt. Raymond was lucky to get out of this one alive.

1. Yes they are, but if you can get on their tail!
2. That is the way I do it even with WWI heavies.
3. I am the C.O.:D
Kyte.

Can't argue with that... especially not with the C.O.!
