Okay, my OCD got the best of me, and I now have the following aircraft on the way:

6 x B-17G
4 x P-51D Mustang
3 x Spitfire
7 x ME 262A
3 x P61A Black Widow
3 x FW190
4 x ME109
4 x A6M2
3 x F6F-3/5
3 x KI-84

I have a few questions, and offer my sincerest apologies if I overlooked a post or FAQ that answers one of the following. I am reminded of the scene in Battle of Britain where Skipper is training the rookie.. "DAKA-DAKA-DAKA-DAKA!"

1) I am placing an order for bases and gimbles, etc. Obviously the 17s have their own stand now, but I assume the "Scout Flight Stand" and "Two-Seater Flight Stand" (P-61) items are appropriate for the WWII fighters? My finger is sitting on "BUY" as I type this. :)

2) I have seen a few posts on WWII stats, and I understand the faster aircraft are not officially released rules-wise. Is there a place where I can find B17s, P51s, or am I pretty much "roll my own" for everything above?

3) I have the WoW WWII rules, but we have only played the WWI game so far. Any suggestions on what decks to use for the various aircraft? How do you decide, or is there a rule of thumb?

Thanks in advance!

Hi DeLorme..

For FW190 you can find Deck and Stats in:
Downloads > World War II > Custom Cards > Custom Planes > German Planes
http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=159

For the B17 you can look at this site:
http://cockpit-traditions.blogspot.com/search/label/cartes%20wings%20of%20war%20sp%C3%A9ciales
As already posted by Afilter in mission discussion (B17 over france)

I'm also waiting for P-51

This is a good question, I'm also interested in those stand for mine WWII 1/144 planes..

Have a nice fly

Thanks, I overlooked the FW-190.

The site with the 17s is very cool; the King Kong thing is a hoot. Off to google translate. :)

1. My Scout and Two-Seater fligt stands will work for your 1/144 scale WWII aircraft. The one exception is the Stuka (and other planes that might come out with that same rear fire arc). I'm working on a stand for it.

2. I've come up with stats for the heavy bombers that I'm making stands for and have researched firing arcs and such quite a bi to have them as accurate as possible. I've even worked with Het, from Cockpits and Dogfights to make the B-24 card... which needs updating to match the new stand now.

Thanks Keith. I'll be submitting an order today.
