The Germans are trying to knock out the Radar Towers while the British are defending them.

Germans have two Heinkel He.111s with protection from three Bf. 110s and fighter escort from three Bf. 109s.
The British have six fighters either in Supermarine Spitfires or Hawker Hurricanes.

The planes raced to meet each other.

Then the Bombers arrived.
94126

The concentrated fire on the bombers took one of them out, but claimed a British in return.
94128
94129

During the fray a Bf. 110 swept down to strafe radar towers but was shot down leaving all towers still intact.
94130

The last bomber sustained rudder damage and all German planes were called back to base.

Liking the towers, maybe need to be grouped up a little !

This one was about 2 miles from my house if that, the concrete bases to the towers are still there as are some buildings & so is the underground stuff but that is all flooded.

Superb action chaps.
Thanks for posting this.
I can see that I'm going to need another German Bomber.

Sounds and looks like a great scenario, Kermit!

The upgraded Me110s (additional dester camouflage and shark mouth) are awesome!

Got to give that scenario a go .

The strafing 110 encounter went like this - Mk I Hurricane does 3/4 rear pass at 110, 110 draws explosion counter. 10 rear gunner shoots back at Hurricane, Hurricane pilot (me) draws explosion counter. Wow.

The look of the disc style propellers makes me think about switching mine, especially since I have some damaged props. The scenario looked like a lot of fun.

;) Make a guess who held the stick of the "shark mouth", Wingman ;)
One Spit downed, another one unconfirmed...That was a hell of a game, really!

...did they equip your Bf110 with bombs, too.

I bet not, because all the radar towers seem quite intact to me.

This the the lone 111 who made it past the Big Wing sweep. I was able to jam his rudder so his bombing run became somewhat difficult. The other 111 was drilled at pointblank range by Riley, Keith's step-daughter.

Will do next time. Thanks for the insight. I will also include mini houses by them.

Here are some more photos of the battle.

Ken has my paper work on the battle so I can't put too many names to the faces. We can see Josh in the green T-shirt and Scott is the guy that needs a beer T-shirt. Randy is using the range stick to take a shot. I will try to fill in the rest. If you see yourself please speak up and give a shout out.

Randy is measuring the distance between the two planes. Dave is in the black cap talking to Riley. I am talking to Cheryl. Andy in the black shirt and white pants is talking to Cheryl's husband.

Seems like a good superiority for the Luftwaffe.

Did the German fighters disregard their escort job, because the RAF was able to knock out both bombers?

;) Cappy Tom was the Game Master and the "Bomber Driver" as well and made this mission a bit easier for the British side ;) He houseruled the event allowing an additional "A" damage for those planes that were shot at and had less climb counters, although being on the same altitude as the shooting plane. It made the game more deadly and favored the shooters.

We, as escorts, did our best to protect the Heinkels, however you could not resist to pursue some fighters...;)

I think, you will not get such a "bonus" for our BoB scenarios.

But we need to think about balanced BoB missions. :minis:

How much RAF planes versus 2x He.111 & 2x Me.109, etc...

I like the idea that one player controls two He.111s or two Ju87s. (with anouncing for which plane he will get the aerial victories;))

Respawn helped the British side as well. I took out three British fighters but they respawned along the coast two turns later. The bombers were slow moving and the respawned aircraft showed up when the bombers hit land. Not sure how many towers we were suppose to knock out to consider it a victory.
