Here are some stormoviks I completed recently, the single one in the photos is a Bandai pre-paint (Il-2M3) and the other 2 are Zvezda Il-2M aircraft that I painted, all in 1/144 of course.

I did some extra bits of painting on the Bandai one, like the rear MG and some outlining etc & stuck on the decals.

The Zvezda ones are made from a kind of foamy plastic that despite careful cleaning up, don't hold paint that efficiently and quite a lot of care was needed in handling them post-painted when the decals were being applied. The Zvezda kits come with some basic decals - a set of national markings and some numbers. I used some of them, plus some other spares from pre-paint Airacobras as well as some other decals including soviet slogans bought off the net.

I built and painted another 3 Stormoviks in 1/72 scale (an interesting task for a variety of reasons!) at the same time and if there is any interest I will stick up a pix of one of those too.

Thumbs up Comrade and pass the vodka!! Da!

They look great Dave.

I have a couple I painted up a few years back with the following WGS unofficial stats:

Ilyushin Il-2M3 Sturmovik (2 seater)
Base Size: WGS single engine aircraft (Stuka firing arcs)
Manouver Deck: I (max speed 414kph, no vertical dive bombing)
Damage Points: 22
Firepower: Front ACC/C, Rear A/A (2 x 7.62mm MG and 2 x 23mm cannon front arc, 1 x 12.7mm MG rear cockpit)
Climb Rate: 5 (10.4m/s)
Top Altitude 7 (5,500m)
Load: 600kg and 8 x 82mm rockets

For the Ilyushin Il-2 Sturmovik single seat version change to:
Base Size: WGS single engine aircraft (front arc only)
Manouver Deck: J (max speed 430kph)
Firepower: Front ACC/C (2 x 7.62mm and 2 x 20mm or 23mm cannon front arc)

I'll have to dust mine off and run an Eastern Front scenario.......

Great job on those Zveda models. I have a few but have only built one. Find the props are easy to break. Would be nice if F-Toys did some soviet planes.

The props are indeed very delicate.
