Today's mail brought me two F-Toys RFC SPAD VIIs. Not Bad, needs a bit of clean up and some putty work, not quite as good as the WoW minis but I now have a SPAD VII. I intend to re-paint it as Carters 19 Sqd SPAD B4398 (if memory serves) but I can't find a pic. I had to sell my aviation collection to keep the store running during the October meltdown 2 years ago.
Does anyone have a profile or photo of A D Carter's SPAD VII?
Thanks
Gord

I was not able to find much on Carter's SPAD VII. He is listed as flying aircraft B3498 (31OCT17 until 13NOV17) and A8834 (15NOV17 until 29DEC17). I searched the Osprey SPAD VII Aces of WWI book and found no profile for his plane. His is mentioned on page 45 though.

This is a profile of 19 Squadron's typical markings early on:

The red and blue bands around the white strip are reported to be in different colors, mainly noted as red and black.

This is the squadron's markings once they added the barbell shaped icon:

I did find a profile of his Dolphin in an Osprey book:

It does not appear that he had any personal markings on this plane.

You might find some interesting info here (http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71243&mode=threaded).

Hi Keith,
I have seen a drawing of 3492 in PC10 and with 19 Sqd dumbell marking. As I mentioned I sold my book collection to a friend so I may have to make the trek out to his place. I had a lot of info on the Canadians and a very cool little book written by an ex 19 Sqd Dolphin pilot who flew with Carter. I can't say for sure that I have a photo but I have this niggling memory...

Are there official cards for SPAD VIIs? I really need to get the rest of the boosters ...

Any idea on what the hit points, damage, climb rate, and movement decks would be?
