Firing at enemy plane

Hi fellas, as a newbee to this game, when you have a plane in arc of sight do you fire with both guns if you have them. Also on the special damage cards, the number shown, is that the damage inflicted as well to the aircraft. Have played World War 1 so slightly different rules.

When firing at a enemy plane you have two shots. Long range and short range. Using the stick see if it is long or short then have the other player take the appropriate tokens for that shot.

The damages represent the weapons efficiency (means all the weapons) at a given range. For example, a Bf 109 at short range, inflicts one A-Token and two C-Tokens. This is the maximum damage the airplane can do with both MG and Cannons.

And yes, the number on the special damage token is the damage that the airplane get in addition of the special ones.
