New Ray 1/200 Republic P-47. The N plane has had a lot of detail added to enhance the original. The P plane is almost a complete repaint everything except the tail.

The aircraft with the purple nose and stars is very impressive even without the orange and yellow.
Very striking and well executed work as usual Tony.

Here's some Jugs from the South West Pacific. These are True North minis and are solid lead so they are very heavy models, very appropriate for the T-bolt!

This is one of Neil Kirby's birds. I believe he was the top scoring Jug pilot in the Pacific.

I like the white details on the wings and tail. And the victory markers are just superb. Good job Lloyd

Tony,
Marvelous paint jobs.

I couldn't find a decent line drawing of the Bubble Canopy D model, but I found an N. And I left the damage as a D model, as the Official Stats said that it was BBB/BA. You're flying a D, anyway.

I can see my education is sadly lacking. In no respect did I expect a pair of Thunderbolts to be coined as Jugs.
Even such a fine pair as these are not at all like jugs.

Greetings!

A friend of me give me as a present a few minis of the same scale than my WoW/WoG planes. One of them was a P-47B Thunderbolt. Unfortunately, I don't know the mini manufacturer... if somebody knows it please inform to me about it.

I have found in Spanish forum a friend that paint minis at a good price. He has sent my Thunderbolt painted a week ago and I'm very impressed because he has made a great job!

I bought some accesories from aerodrome to complete them and, here you have the final results. I hope you like it!

I selected A7-B P-47D-30-RA S/N 44-33221 "Slick Chick" flown by Lt. Col. Frank Perego, 368th FG Commander. Here you have some photos together my P-51D "The Hawk-eye Owan".

I know, that this deco is for a P-47D instead a P-47B but I love it....

Having worn out a couple of copies of Thunderbolt (by Robert S. Johnson w/Martin Caidin), I was excited to get a request to assemble and paint some Platz 1/144 scale models in 61st FS, 56th FG livery. I used Vallejo Model Color (VMC) Russian Uniform WWII (position 094) for the upper surfaces and Sky Gray (154) for the lower surfaces. HV-V, Little Chief, is decorated with decals provided in the kit. I made the decals for the nose art for Lucky II and Pengie II(HV-p and HV-M) along with the aircraft ID and serial numbers for HV-P, -M, & -O. Pilot figures are from Reviresco.

Good Day Chaps! Great Work in here!

Here is my take on Maj. Bostwick's P-47M-RE

*edit* forgot to mention that this is a Scotia Grendel Miniature!

(Still a WIP, trying to source some nice cheap 1/200 decals in London)

You have brought a splash of colour into my workroom.
Thanks.

lol, your project is impressive, Rob.
There will be a fair mix of olive drab/metal/razorback/bubble Jugs. Some of my favorite schemes are the result of mixing parts when salvaging for repair.

@caveman: Dave, thanks for the Rep - your PMs are full so couldn't reply.
