View Full Version : Dishing out damage - The fairest way.

I'm wandering about a fair way to dish out the damage cards, in an un-biased way during turns such as;

* Enemy on fire (plane 1) and enemy receives shooting 'A' damage (plane 2).
* B/B damage 2 seater takes a pop (front and rear) at two seperate enemy planes in the same phase.

Would it be right to assume that those enemy planes involved, must take their damages seperately?

Or can the enemy player choose which damage he takes, and for which plane?

I think former, rather than the latter. Got a game on Saturday, and I must clear this one up. :D

P.S; Could a mod move this to 'Rules Help' - cheers, H

I would say take it seperately.

I'd concur with that thought - deal each plane its own card. ;)

I agree: seperate cards :)

The game has been postponed, due to the snow covered roads etc.

Thanks for your opinion, and I am pretty sure it would/will help me out. I bet these kind of issues come up on many tables across the globe ;)

I agree separate damage cards only.

We play separate damage for each target.

A point to consider - if you allow the enemy to decide which plane takes what damage you are also allowing him to choose which of your guns jam (if a jam card is drawn)

Yes as pointed out by Brian allowing players to choose can lead to all sorts of confusion and arguments.

Oh I don't know! We have had some pretty good evenings like that in the Officers' Mess.
The really good thing is that you get all new furniture the next day.;)

Yes, agree with all the above, each target draws from appropriate damage deck, mos def.
