E.V.Rickenbaker's SPADXIII colouring

Yesterday I purchased Eddie Rickenbaker's SPADXIII with found memories of building 1/72 model his Neuport28 a long time ago? I like that hat & ring insignia.
The WOW minature's colours look too dull for my liking.
I'm thinking of repainting the "tan" part of the camo more intensely.


While researching I found this interesting article by Ralph Preston of his SPAD in a bottle ! Not sure what scale it is.

That is aswesome. Scary, but awesome. I have always loved "ships in a bottle" but never had the courage to even attempt one, let alone a "SPAD in a bottle".
