For reference, I assume we should use the posting number found on the upper right corner of the post?

(Posting #1) Nice collection of Jastas there Chris. I particularly liked the Jasta 5 (of course) and 18, with the captured Bristol.
Nice idea using linked threads, BTW.

Thank you. Yes, definitely. Either I manage to get more Nexus Albatros D.III's from Hobby Giochi (the shipping cost is awful though), or maybe I wait for Aviatik Berg D.I's from Ares. :)

My Latest Jasta, all Shapeways except for official Rahn
Decals all from Doms Jasta 19 sheet and tail stripes from 1/144 Direct black stripes
Have got two more when new models are released.

Dont forget the thread is a showcase for units, please post even if already posted in the individual aircraft thread, I like seeing unit pics as well as singles :)

The Jasta 18 are homemade and the Jasta 15 are a mixture of Home made and Doms.

Thread #2:
Jan; are these a historical scheme that you just don't know the pilots names, or a fantasy. I'm curious about A-H fighters painted in what looks like PC10.

Another Jasta, surely Jan & I are not the only ones with units of three or more ?

I have the planes, just not the time or space. Maybe this winter, as we are close to finishing the room prep upstairs.

Chris and Rob:
Nice looking Jastas, all. I'm sure there strike fear into any of the RFC/RNAS/RAF pilots that come across them ;)

Thanks for the nice comments Carl, but I was actually hoping that we could strike fear into them.:guns:

The scheme is semi-historical, see Flik 55J machines here: http://www.feudal.cz/html/albatrosy_d_iii__oeffag__v_bar.htm

The pilots are fictional characters from the Over the Trenches solo rules campaign that is still going on here on Aerodrome.

The main colour used was Citadel Catachan Green (I am not sure how it is called now or whether it is still the same at all due to a recent complete paints revamp).

Very interesting site; I might have to add an A-H Filk to my collection.
That is one of the things I hate about Games Workshop, always changing things.

:p Yes! Only one of the many things I hate about them. Dont get me started on the travesty they wrought on my Grey Knights & Sisters of Battle.
Oh well I just did not buy the new GK Codex or any new models & in fact sold ALL my GKs but I will never sell my Sisters, Black Templars or IG Armies!:)

Is this thread only for Jastas/Flicks? Can the good guys, er I mean France and England get in on this? While I'm at it, is it WWI only? Lloyd

Hi Lloyd both the two threads are intended for pic of a minimum of three planes from the same unit WGF or WGS one thread for Central powers or Axis, the other thread for Entente, Western powers.
So any side can be used

One thread is Jasta /flik and has its own comment thread
The other is Sqn /entente and also has its own comments thread

Post#13: Interesting schwarm of Albatrosses, Rob; kind of looks like some captured PC10 was used ;)
I'm sure they'll give a good acount of themselves.
