The rest of my Battle of Britain Hurricanes - this time by Sweet.

GZ-L, Flt Ln PM Brothers, #32 Squadron, 1940
LK-A, Flt Lt IA Gleed, # 87 Squadron, 1940
YB-J, Pilot Officer LW Stevens, #17 Squadron, 1940
JX-A Cut up decals to make an extra set for this plane. I am not sure that JX_A was a plane as such, although JX-B is certainly a Hurricane. If JX-A is one too I would like to hear about it.

These planes were painted in the same colours as my Revell ones. They were a "Sweet", straightforward build (compared to my Arii & Revell ones) and I enjoyed working on them.

Hope you like them!

Very nice, Nigel. Good looking planes. I know what you mean about the comparison between Arii and Sweet, since I've just done some of each in the last few months. There must be a Hurricane bug going around. Lloyd

Nice pix Rich! Here are my hunting Hurricanes - no enemy in sight yet - or maybe they are just keeping clear!

Sweet & Revell 1/144 model kits.

Great set of Hurris: is it just me or do the Sweet kits look more the part?

No reason to believe there wasn't a JX-A in 1 Sqn RAF in mid-late 1940, as it's a standard in-use sqn identification letter. Not contemporary with the Battle of Britain but there was a 1 Sqn Hurricane Mk. IIa 'JX-A', Z3241, flown by Jean Demozay, April 1941

We are tied on Hurricanes! The Sweet kits are by far superior!

Yes I thought there would be a JX-A but it is nice to hear it confirmed. Hopefully a BoB version will turn up! I tried googling it but did not get anywhere with it.
