Looks great! I wonder if there is an difference in the contents vs. the Starter Set, other than the airplanes...:hmm:

Looking forward to seeing what it has.

It is the WW2 equivalent of the already released WW1 Rules & Accessories pack. 4 pages of rules more, damage chits instead than damage cards, but for the rest it is pretty equivalent.
If you compare it to the starter set I'd say: no miniatures, far more rules (44 pages), same quantity of consolles, tokens/counters, rulers.

Good spot Thomas
I like the fact that the pictures visible on the box tie the Wings of War planes to the Wings of Glory game. Obviously the top cover portrays the Spitfire and the plane on the side appears to be a Stuka!

Does it come with speed markers? I feel that each plane should have its own speed markers so its ready to fly out of the box.

Quick question, when the later war planes are released are we going to have to buy new rules or are they all going to be fitted in the existing game?

Good question Lord Ninja. Would hate to drop the money only to find out I needed more rule books down the road! I will most likely buy it anyway like I did for WW1 version.

This mean you're gonna split the first-run starter into two Duel Packs for future production, since the 4-pack is a dead product?
As in WW2 I am only concentrating on the Early War say 1939-1942 I do not intend to get the faster fighters, so I will get it.

Good question in deed. I'm not a big WGS player, so this product is very iffy for me, but I would like to have the nicer rule book (I've already got two copies of the 4 mini deluxe set). So, if a later printing of it will have the faster planes, I can wait for that one.

From my understanding that is the way of the future. No more 4 mini deluxe sets.

Rules will fit everything from around 1936 (Spanish Civil War, Sino-Japanese conflicts - as by cards already released) to 1945 and more - I'd like to see Macchi, Spitfire and Bf.109 fight not only in WW2 but also with Egyptian, Israeli and other 1948-1956 markings. ;)
Yes the box includes plenty of speed markers.

Any chance of getting some slower aircraft? I realise the Ju52 would cause issues, but there's a lot of aircraft in use in 1939 with speed around 200mph.
Nice find have to look out for this item and see what it has to offer.

Given the WGS bomber miniatures have basic rules only this pack is a must for WGS players who want to run multi-engined aircraft. Can't come fast enough for me.

A Fiesler Storch won't help matters either......

Yeah, cant come fast enough for me either. I just got 5 WWII bombers yesterday... I have the WWI version of this and the rule book is very nice! A much higher quality than anything previous! Gonna bust out the matts and balloons with my sons tonight!

Bring a Fokker D.VII maneuver deck -- the effect's much the same. (Care to guess how I know this? :) )
So the 4 aircrafts in the current Deluxe Set will be available as Duel Packs? That`s very good :)

I'll bite. 'So Chris, how is it you know this?'

I wanted to do an "assassination of Rommel" scenario, and needed something with a Fieseler Storch's general flight capabilities; the D.VII deck lent itself nicely to the project. (Use Russian acft. and it's "Hanna Reitsch trying to get into Berlin, 1945".)

Just got 2 of the bombers today, yay!! :pint:
Er hold on a second, the fine print reads "to fully use all of the specific rules and counters for the airplane included in this pack, you should use the complete rules included int he WW2 Wings of Glory Rules and Accessories Pack" or in other words I have the models but no rules to use them?!!??:crash:
Is that right?:smack:
cheers,
Dave.

Yes, it seems the production order got a little out of whack on these. Between the single seat bombing rules and the WWI R&A pack, I think we pretty much know how bombing in WWII is going to work. But, it's not much help for players not on this site.

Yeah this caught me on the hop tbh, I was looking forward to comparing the bombers rules that I uploaded to the new official ones and was surprised with the result:eek:
I'll go away and cobble something together to patch me through until the official box arrives, shame it's not until after xmas 'cause I was hoping to have this on my xmas list :drinks:
cheers,
Dave.
Are you going to stock it in the "Aerodrome Accessories" Kieth, because if so I will get a set from you.

Interesting that the Spit on the front appears to be one of the more `oddball` variants,
The nose looks like that of the first of the Griffon Spits the MkXII.

Not for the moment, but you can have 8 fighters in individual Airplane Packs. And 4 bombers in Special Packs too.
