I figured I'd drop in here and say Hi. I've dabbled with the Dawn of War game, cards only, no mini's but I'm thinking about taking a dive into the WWI set, which is what had originally interested me. Ive only my regular Boardgame group at the moment, who liked DoW, but weren't overly enthusiastic about it. Some have mentioned that they thought the WWI aspect might be more their tastes, so I think I'm going to try to coerce them into giving it an actual shot this time around and try to get them all involved.

On behalf of the rest of the pilots based here in Dear old Blighty, welcome to the Drome Chris.
WWI is really the way to go in my humble opinion, via the Officers' Mess where you can pick up a lot of information from the chaps, and also a few free beers if you play your cards right.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody! Seems like a real friendly community here. I'm looking forward to getting to know a everyone and get in on this great game. I'm planning on breaking out the Dawn of World War II again this sunday and see if I can pull some interest in WWI from my regular group.
Wish me luck.

Hello Chris from Toronto...Hope your gaming group picks the game up! The minis make it look great...especially if you get some of the gaming mats too. Let us know how it goes and Good Hunting!

This is a bit late, but welcome, Chris.

Hope you've managed to link up with Charlie.

How many are in your local group, and is it a gaming group, or a WoW/WGF group?

Please invite them to the 'drome, if they are "pilots".

Mike :-)

Welcome from British Columbia Chris. Not sure what part of the Rock you hail from, but in terms of minis, there's a hobby store in Cornerbrook that is selling some WW1 minis through E-Bay. Personally I think they're asking way too much but perhaps they'll cut a deal for a local guy.
