I just uploaded a scan of a US Army Chaplain's log of what he saw from the nose of a B-17 flying across Europe after VE Day on 10 May 1945. The handwritten note in the corner of the typed (yes, typed on a typewriter) sheet says, "Since this is dated May 10 He must have been with the 356th Fighter Group. I think VE Day was May 8th?"
I have no idea who wrote the note or where I managed to get this but it was buried in my files and I just ran across it again - fun read from someone who was there:thumbsup:
