Anybody going to Colours 2012 at Newbury racecourse next weekend ?
Details are here (http://colours.org.uk/colours/) for those interested.
One I've not managed to get to before due to family/work commitments but finally making it for Saturday this year & really looking forward to it.

I did ask Newbury about putting on a display but never got a reply.

If previous years are anything to go by, one of the best on the circuit, with interesting displays, lots of traders and a reasonable amount of room to get around, without constantly being blocked in by 'backpackers'.

Alas not, one of my friends (Stuart from the mall campaign) is getting married.

Chris, if you do go could you pick up a few bits and pieces for me?

I say, poor organisation letting people marry on a show weekend, what !
It sounds very promising though.

You have my sympathy - mine decided to get married on the day of Salute one year! First time in 20-odd years I missed that show

I'll be there Saturday, and for those travelling back through Paddington, in the Mad Bishop and Bear (http://madbishopandbear.co.uk/)late afto with a few chums.

Spotted Gunners briefly - nice T shirt by the way - but then lost him in the cloud.. I mean crowd ! Didn't see Chris at all !!
It was a good show and bargains were to be had, however, levels of BO on the third floor must have exceeded some legal directive or other ! :test:

Crowds, and BO level, dropped after lunch following a 'full house' in the morning. Talking to one of the female vendors: she thought that it was so crowded being the first weekend after the long school holidays, so dads were allowed out on their own for the first time in over a month. Certainly didn't look like there was an economic downturn threatening doom and gloom!

Didn't seem as busy in the morning as it has been in previous years to me. Can't say I detected a biohazard up on the 3rd floor, may be they had opened the large windows by the time I got there.

Managed to spend my pockey money, mostly on books and rules (and a box of zombies). Caliver had the series 5 planes there at top dollar as he had got them from the States, owner Dave said that when they come out over here (he reckons 3 weeks) they should be a bit cheaper.

Saw Flash (Dave), no-one else I recognised. Beer and Thai curry in Mad Bishop as excellent as always.
