Hello boys,
As you guys know, I'm new to the Aerodrome, and I'm looking for Wings of War WWII groups in Houston. Are there any to speak of?

Thanks,
The Jäger

That's great, thanks for the help. Is there anywhere where these players meet for group games of Wings of War, and are there any WoW WWII groups near the 8th Dimension Comics and Games store?

I guess you are;). When I started playing no one heard of the game in my little town. We don't even have a hobby store in town. So I started a game club at my church and is has slowly grown into a nice group of 10 or so players. So it looks like you have your work cut out for you.

Alright then. Thanks for the help, Tom. I'm a WWII reenactor, so I'm sure I can find a few guys who might enjoy Wings of War!

Great, looking forward to seeing some photos of some of the dogfights and After Action Reports (AAR).

Welcome to the Aerodrome! It's a little far out, but you might want to consider attending Owlcon at Rice University (February 15-17, 2013). There are six gaming sessions *one Friday night, three on Saturday, two on Sunda). They play a little bit of everything (board games, card games, miniature games, role playing games). There will likely be someone running Aerodrome and I am considering running a session or two of Wings of Glory (maybe one session of WWI and one of WWII). I've never run an event before, so there will be a lot or research and preparation, if I decide to do it. It only costs $25 for the entire weekend, if you preregister. The parking is expensive though ($11/day last year).

You might want to contact alpine to see if he knows of any active Wings of War/Glory gaming in Houston.

Hi Isaiah. I've checked around many of the game stores around Houston during my trips there and haven't found any WoW/WoG gaming groups. You may try setting up a game at 8th Dimension. The models always draw a lot of attention and you might recruit some players, get them hooked on the game, and form a group. When I'm in Houston maybe we can get up a game.
