Blue I-16 Rata

I'm looking for colour schemes for my new I16.

I'm also playing "World of Warplanes" on my pc, and there is a beautiful navy blue I-16 with a red cowl and white trim in the game. I cant find any record of blue I16s but its a Russian game so they may know better. Anyone else seen a similar scheme?

I have never seen a picture of a blue one. They are usually green, green/brown or green/yellow camouflaged or white in winter.

At a guess - one of the I-16 Type 12's of the aerobatic teams painted in primary colours - blue, yellow, red. Later replaced by the "Red Quintet" - "Krasnaya pyaterka" - who flew (oddly enough) red aircraft.

Now to find the reference to check my memory...
