Building Hawker’s Bristol Scout.
This would be a good build for a novice.
56543
Clean up the casting.
Clean out the strut holes with a suitable drill.
Position wings and struts.
56544
This time I used wire pins for cabine struts to strengthen the wings.
56545
Pop in the pins for cabine struts.
I removed the pilot with a piercing saw.
Replace pilot with Lt. Hawker and his gun.
56546
Glue on top wing.
56547
After cutting off the heads, place cabine pins and glue.
56548
File down strut tops and wet and dry wings for fine finish.
Fit undercart.
56549
Spray white undercoat.
Paint plane
Fit the prop.
Apply decals. Use micro set and micro sol as per instructions.
56550
Varnish to taste.
56551
Not a bad one to do. Even with the change of pilot it only took a day to complete.
Lt Hawker was by Reviresco with the soft gun barrel replaced by a piece of brass wire.
