Who else was lucky to come across this game in the mid late eighties?
Never heard of it. Wasn't that the company that did Defender of the Crown though?

I really liked that game! It was the only game of aeial warfare I did not suck in... ;) I also liked Wings of Fury but never managed the landings... ;)
Wings of Fury was great and political very uncorrect ;) Pretty cruel as well those old Amiga games.

I loved Wings, but when I tried that website it wouldn't let me register. So I bought a GBA copy off Amazon instead...

I think I will do the same. But the GBA game is really expansive... (50 Euro for a new one or 25 for a used copy...)

I played Wings on the Amiga but my favorite was Red Baron which I then played in its later incarnation on the PC too. Totally immersive although looks rather dated now.

I picked a GBA version of the game on EBay for £7, including postage! I've been playing it on my DS.
To answer Colmanspig, I'm just about to move further North in pursuit of a job... but there is a couple of groups in Sheffield: GIMPS or Rotherham & Sheffield Wargamers. As far as I know both play WoW.
I think Big Al would be able to fill you in with more details:
