For the Friday Night Session we played a Bomber Scenario, with one Zeppelin Stakken, escorted by a pair Fokker DVIIs. Against them were Camels form RNAS SQDN 9. It was a bloody fight, with the Stakken completing it's bpombing run, but unable to return home. The Camel's from SQDN 9 where eventual able to take out an engine and accumulate enough damage to bring the big beast down. The Escorts wreaked havoc against the British, but they received as bad as they gave.

On Saturday, it was a Balloon Bursting Scenario. British and French planes (SPADs and SE5a's) where aloft to try and destroy three German observation Balloons. The Germans had a UFAG (2 seater) and four Albatross' supported by AAA. The Allies had initial success in quickly destroying the first balloon, but the AAA counted for two SPADs. The second Balloon finally succumbed to flames just before it made it to ground level, while the 3d Balloon was brought to ground, (but with sever Damage). Two of the German aircraft where destroyed while trying to keep the enemy from their Balloons.

This morning we played the Zeppelin scenario, with a Flight of Camels from from 42 SQDN racing to destroy the behemoth, while DR1s closed in to protec the Zeppelin. As the scouts swarmed around the giant, at least three collisions occurred between them, which caused two planes to go down in flames. After several passes, the Camels where able to get fires ignited in the gas cells. after several turns, the spreading fires finally destroyed the Zeppelin.

As you can see from the Pics, I had a mixed group of very young Gamers, and some older gamers. On Friday night, there where on only one or two that had ever played before, so we did not use elevation. On Saturday and Sunday, we used all optional rules. The gaming sessions where enjoyed by all, and for the new comers, they were sold on the game and expressed a desire to pick up a few sets of rules and Minis and continue to play after the convention.
