Hi All,

This is probably a stupid question but as a total newbie I'll ask anyway. When it says select a card from the deck does that mean take the next one on top or can you pick one from anywhere in the deck? The damage deck that is. Thanks.

Bill

Yes the general system is that the damage deck is well shuffled and placed on the table. When a player must draw he takes a card from the top of the deck.

Top of the deck.

I also play Arkham Horror and have tried shuffling before each damage draw as well so you don't see the same distribution or order you might have seen previously.

I find the little cards hard to shuffle so doing it a little bit each time and once a big vegas mixing shuffle between games does a great job.

Thanks for the quick response. Too bad they dont make a shoe for the deck so it doesnt get spilled all over the place all the time. Especially when playing with younger gamers.

Can't you just leave the cards in their storage slot in the game's box and draw them from there ?

I suppose but it takes up a lot of room on the table and looks funny. Ruins the aesthetics.:D

I believe over on BoardGameGeek.com they have printable "tuckboxes" for the cards. You just print em out, cut them, and glue em together. Pulling the top card from that might be pretty easy and not take much more space than the deck itself.

I'll check it out. Thanks.

I went and looked...sadly I didn't see anything... I could have sworn I saw them too, but then again I'm on the geek enough that it all gets mixed up...

There's a damage deck tuck-box in the file here:

They were a little more than what I needed but I modified the idea and made an open topped tray with both sides partially cut away and the sides just high enough to hold the deck and it works great. Thanks for the idea.
