Compared to theA6M5 Model 11, the Model 52C had improved armor, so has a higher damage rating. There was more armor for the plane, and thicker wing skin, and three 13.2 mm MGs (two in the wings).
The 'E' deck is also used by the Reggiane Re.2001 Falco II.
All Zeros could use Drop Tanks (with few exceptions, usually trading off for bombs).
