Hawker Hurricane Mk I No. 1 Sqn, Northolt Middesex F/O E.W. Beardmore RCAF YO-B Planned repaint of a Nexus Belgian plane, with a waiting two-sided card
Cool story behind this card. I have spoken with the son, Ian, of this pilot at the Comox Air Force Museum. He knew many of the surviving pilots of No. 1 RCAF Squadron, having met them after the war. He, unfortunately can't remember any specific letter codes for the pilots' planes, even his father's. However, I found a site that listed the serial number of the plane and the letter code, but not the pilot. The Squadron War Diary listed the plane that F/O Beardmore was shot down in, but not the letter code of the plane. So, this card is an amalgamation of the two sources. Now I need a Nexus Hurricane Mk I to repaint, cause I won't by an Ares Crappycane.
