I finally decided to order a Shapeways print. When it arrived it was missing the rudder (more about that later). Shapeways kindly replaced it with a complete print. Anyone familiar with Shapeways prints knows the challenge of creating smooth surfaces. You can see my process in the Shapeways Off Duty Forum. I was able to craft a spinning prop and added it weeks later.
