Ares Games

RNAS 9 Around late 1917

Camel repaints (originally either - Brown's or Ellwood's Camels).
A few changes - B7202 has had a minor repaint as I didn't like the previous light blue. Thought it was just too light. The latest colour seems to conform more to the colours shown in a Cross & Cockade publication. Daphne, Dorithy and Doris have now been added. Some registration numbers and name plates have yet to be decaled in correctly (temporarily shown through Affinity painting) but I'm having trouble with trying to do the decals myself and lost patience ;) I'll be back.
From left to right, in the second photo as shown in the album - 6 Sopwith Camels of Flight B - Maud II B6327 Flt Lt Stackard ( Ares Model with cowling and wheel covers repainted); row 2 - Dorothy B3884 FSL A W Wood; Muryel B3905 flown by FSL C A Norbeth; row 3 - Daphne B6381 flown by FSL Taylor, FSL J P Hales and others; and B7202 flown by unknown pilot and finally Doris B3898 Flt Cdr J S T Fall.
Paints are all by Vallejo - personal fuselage and wing markings are painted by hand. Roundels from the original Ares models. Decals for Dorothy and Doris provided by Keith Upton (Oberst Hajj).
