Open Gaming Wings of War at Origins 2010, Columbus, Ohio

Had the opportunity to play in an open session of WoW at Origins 2010. The session was hosted by Ralph Krebs (crhkrebs) and his son, who own all the minis, terrain, and equipment seen in the pictures. They drove down from Canada for the show... and took the time to set up so a few of us could play! We had an absolute blast! I had played before... but never with minis and was totally, hopelessly hooked after this!
  1. Wings of War... one of my favorite games... here I am... the famous World War I Flying Ace in my RAF SE5a... let the battle begin!
  2. The crew of our observation balloon scours the skies for signs of the enemy.... at the same time our AA emplacements ready for battle...
  3. ...and then the British bomber spirals in from a death blow... two missions: four kills... Did I mention I really like this game??? Thanks to...
  4. ...the British bomber turns unexpectedly as I circle around to intercept...
  5. First I down the Sopwith Triplane...
  6. A closer look at the appraching enemy...
  7. Mission One is complete - time to switch flags...Now I find myself at the controls of the Red Baron's DR1... I hope he doesn't mind that I am...
  8. I take down the bomber just short of his bombing run... and the escort will soon follow him to a fiery end...muhwahahaha!
  9. I have managed to damage both the escort and the bomber...
  10. Our Observation Balloon reports the approaching attack and ensuing dogfight...
  11. ....meanwhile my wingman flys support near HQ...
  12. Time to close on the Enemy bomber and escort....
