OTT: Mission 5 (Entente)

  1. The attack begins - Sopwith Camel (2Lt Ginger Matheson) vs the Hun Sausage

  2. Trenches and AAMG set-up

  3. Opening shots - the first trench is silenced

  4. Side-slipping around the AAMG. The infantry are confused (face card) by Ginger's appearance out of the sun and do not fire.

  5. Opening shots on the AAMG

  6. 2Lt Matheson lines up a second pass on the AAMG. An Albatros scout appears.

  7. Sustained fire on the AAMG silences first the MG, than the infantry who scatter and run.

  8. The aircraft circle each other...

  9. ...and pass close by

  10. The Hun can see the oil smears on Ginger's grinning mug

  11. Does Ginger dare attack the sausage with the Hun ready to pounce?

  12. Ginger ignores the Albatros - to his peril - but scores his first hit on the sausage causing fire from incendiary bullets

  13. More fire from both sides - devastatingly accurate - then guns jam

  14. From another perspective

  15. The aircraft break away for another pass

  16. Ginger performs an Immelmann while the Hun passes over the sausage

  17. Closing yet again and exchanging more fire

  18. Ginger evades the Huns and pours more fire into the sausage

  19. The aircraft separate again

  20. And close again. More shooting. The sausage is starting to burn.

  21. The Hun unleashes another hail of bullets at Ginger.

  22. Whoooosh! The sausage lights up in a ball of flame. Ginger decides he has had enough and heads for the aerodrome.
