Ae800 / Caquot

Another scratch build using materials I had lying around the house! (Pictures ended up in reverse order - start at the end!!)
  1. Ae800 / Caquot
  2. Ae800 / Caquot
  3. Ae800 / Caquot
  4. Basket detail
  5. Detail of the basket harness - probably too blurry to make out!
  6. Argh! No, Caporal Boyau!! It's not even on the gaming table yet!
  7. The strings for the basket are run through a small wire circle (made from twist tie wire). It made it easier to position the basket since the basket...
  8. Basket and flight stand added. The basket is card stock weighted with some pewter odds and ends to keep it down. Harness is the same string as before...
  9. Painted: 2 coats of really old Citadel Bubonic Brown. I am still thinking about adding darker lines to outline the fabric panels.
  10. Another view. The balloon is upside down; it sits better on the table that way.
  11. Fins pinned and glued into place. I piece of string serves as the attachment point for harnesses.
  12. 2" foam insulation cut, carved, and sanded to the right shape.
