Default Decided to upscale WoG to around 1:100-ish scale!

    Hey friends,

After reading several other people's amazing posts about upscaling WoG planes I decided to give it a go! I found the metal brand of WW2 planes made by a company called 'DARON', which are from their "Postage Stamp Collection" set of aircraft. This one is around 1:100 scale, but not exactly since it's almost 4 inches long.

The quality of the Postage Stamp Collection Daron brand P-51 airplane is outstanding! The details on the model are excellent in my opinion and the little model is heavy for it's size! I've been checking ebay, amazon, and other sellers here in the USA and Amazon seems to have the best prices of this collection WW2 planes. If I order one plane per payday I can have a nice collection of 12 planes in about 6 months!

My next challenge is to find the card for this P-51 and then try and upsize it. Laminating the card will be my next step. Then mounting them to the base like I've seen other people do successfully on this forum.

Enjoy the photos. Please feel free to share any advice or ideas you have. Thank you all. I'll add to this post as I get more planes!

    Cheers!

    `Chuck

    Very pretty, Chuck.
GE Fabbri 1/00 Scale Model Aircraft carried some WW2 models, Spits, Mustangs, P40, Corsairs, Tempests, Me109, Fw190, M262, Zero & such that might be worth looking at if you can find them.

Postage Stamp planes are very nice. I used to have some that I used witn my 15mm Battlefront WW2 games. Sadly I no longer have any of them.

At least some Shapeways a/c are avilable in 1/100 scale. Painting required, of course.

Thank you! I looked those up and they look perfect. I may grab two of their Spitfire's if I can find them in the USA!
